| Extensions of existing assignments should be sought in writing except in emergencies. Delay on the part of a private solicitor in applying for an extension will not be regarded by the Commission as establishing a reasonable and appropriate basis for an emergency grant. | |
| All applications for extensions must include an assessment of merit, a statement of the costs to date, and an assessment of the amount of costs required to conclude the matter. | |
