Primary Dispute Resolution Conferences

Primary Dispute Resolution (PDR) Conferences aim to resolve family law disputes at an early stage. The parties are given the opportunity to negotiate a settlement which suits them both without the need to go to Court. If a settlement is reached, consent orders are drafted and filed in the Family Court.

At least one of the parties must have a grant of aid before a PDR Conference can be scheduled. If you have a family law dispute please consult with your lawyer to determine whether your matter is suitable for a PDR Conference.

Conferences are held regularly in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Devonport.
