Citizen Tasmania’s 'None A Week' launching on International Women’s Day
One Australian woman is still killed by their current or former partner every week.
Intimate partner violence causes more illness, disability and deaths than any other risk factor for women aged 25-44. Family violence is a leading cause of homelessness.

Citizen Tasmania is launching its None a Week campaign for change this International Women’s Day, calling on support from all Tasmanians to address these damning national statistics from a Tasmanian perspective.
Through community support and action, the campaign will produce a documentary film focusing on the experiences of one Tasmanian family whose daughter was murdered by her partner in 2012.
The film, titled One A Week will be used to engage Tasmania’s young people to take a stand against family violence.

Tasmania Legal Aid has been invited to participate in a march from Parliament Lawns to the Goods Shed on March 10 from 12 noon. The march will be led by 52 women of the Hobart Nourish Women’s Choir.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, participants are required to register through eventbrite links below for the events.
