Ashley Youth Detention Centre is located near Deloraine in the North of the State and houses youth juvenile offenders of both sexes aged 10-18 years old.
It has a 51 bed capacity and comprises four accommodation units – Bronte, Huon, Franklin and Liffey.

The Australian Childhood Foundation provide counselling to children and young people who have been affected by family violence.
Children and young people can access this service if they:
- are 17 years of age or younger
- have been affected by family violence at home
- are not in foster car or kinship care
- have a parent, carer or significant adult who can support them through counselling
- are not currently involved in another similar counselling service

CAMHS is available to young people who require assistance in managing emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. Can assist with depression, anxiety, self harm, eating disorders, compulsive behaviours, fears and phobias, hallucination and delusional thinking, sleeping problems and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The service aims to alleviate child abuse by providing support to parents, carers and families. National, confidential video counselling by appointment, offering counselling, education and support services. Child abuse prevention information and protective education available via an online video materials and Safe Program Booklet for parents and childcare centres, schools. Etc.

Division within the Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services which holds the statutory responsibility for intervening legally to protect child from abuse and neglect by their parents or other carers. Any suspected circumstances of child abuse can be reported.
