Not for Profit Law is a specialist legal service for community organisations and is a program of Justice Connect.
They provide free or low cost, practical legal help for not for profit community organisations and advocates for improved standards and legal frameworks.
The Self Representation Service can assist unrepresented litigants with civil law proceedings in the Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court relating to Bankruptcy and Fair Work.
They are unable to provide assistance for family and criminal law matters.
They can provide free assistance to individuals who:
are involved in, or are considering commencing legal proceedings in the Federal Court or Federal Circuit Court.
Provides assistance to women with particular emphasis on women’s legal issues. Free and confidential legal advice and referral. Telephone calls to the Service are free from anywhere in Tasmania and will not show up on telephone bills.
Provides telephone advice on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays between 10 a.m. – 12.30 p.m; 1.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m. and also Wednesdays between 2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.
