Victims Support Services is part of the Department of Justice, the unit is dedicated to victims of crime.
They are responsible for:
- The administration of the Eligible Persons Register (previously known as the Victims Register) and the provision of information to victims from that Register
- Liaison between the victim and other divisions of the Department of Justice
- Operation and management of the Victims of Crime Service
- Provision of information to victims regarding court processes
- The provision of Court Support and Liaison Service for victims of family violence (as part of the ‘Safe at Home’ project)
- Co-ordination of Victim/Offender mediation in a limited number of appropriate cases
- Administration of Victims of Crime Assistance (financial assistance for victims of crime) and the provision of assistance to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Commissioners.

Advocacy Tasmania provide a free statewide, independent and confidential advocacy service. This service is for people with mental health disorder, as well as their relatives and carers. Advocates can assist people to exercise their rights and responsibilities.
They support adolescents and adults who are:
- in hospital
- in the community
- in correctional facilities
- in rural and remote areas
They support people to exercise their rights to:
- be safe from harm including abuse, neglect and suicide
- shelter
- freedom and liberty
- fundamental health and wellbeing
Responsible for the collection and enforcement of Court fines, fines imposed by traffic infringement notices and enforcement of certain monetary penalties imposed by the Magistrates Court and Supreme Court.
The Integrity Commission is an independent authority tasked with investigating and preventing public sector misconduct. It was established in 2010 by the Integrity Commission Act 2009 (Tas).
The Commission’s office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm.
This is a one-day, court based program designed to provide offenders with information and skills to develop positive attitudes towards driving and encourage safer driving behaviour, delivered by DAP Education Australia Pty Ltd. At the completion of the program all participants receive a certificate and a court assessment can be provided. The program is delivered at various locations around Australia.
Disability Voices Tasmania is funded by the Department of Communities Tasmania and endeavours to help people with disability work together on issues that affect their rights, and help them with training and/or resources to develop their skills and experience to have more choices in, and control over, their lives and contribute to their community.

With a coordinated network of government and non-government support – and your help – we can deliver earlier intervention and better outcomes for at-risk children and their families.
The classification board makes classification decisions for films, computer games and certain publications.

The Community Forensic Mental Health Service is a confidential statewide service that assists people who have a mental health issue and/or intellectual disability who are:
- involved with the criminal justice system, or
- assessed as high risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system as a result of their mental health and associated behaviour.
The service offers mental health assessment, liaison, counselling, support, education, advice and referral to other services.
CFMHS has a Court Liaison Officer who provide assistance people eligible for the service who have to go to Court. Potential clients need to be referred for assessment.
Information and support, education and training, counselling and peer support for carers of people with a disability, frail, aged or with chronic illness.

Information and support, education and training, counselling and peer support for carers of people with a disability, frail, aged or with chronic illness.
Free service for adult & child victims of family violence through the Safe at Home program. Court Support Officers are available to provide support to adult and child victims of family violence, including referral to appropriate counselling and other services and guide them through the justice system during and after court appearances.
