Community Legal Centres and Tasmania Legal Aid provide free legal services to the community throughout Lutrawita (Tasmania). They provide free legal advice, information and representation and work on issues such as housing, family violence, discrimination, and employment.
We are inviting young artists aged 12–24 to create an artwork that represents the communities we support. We are looking for an artwork that captures the heart of fairness, inclusion, and access to justice for all Tasmanians. The artwork should reflect the human stories behind this work and include representation of the diverse Tasmanian community including Aboriginal people, migrants, LGBTIQA+, and people of different ages and different abilities.
Submissions are due 1 May 2026.
The winning artwork will be displayed across digital platforms and reproduced on merchandise such as stickers, tote bags, posters, and more – so bold, clear, and meaningful designs are encouraged. The artist will be presented with a framed copy of their artwork.

The brief
Your artwork should reflect the diversity of the Tasmanian community and one or more of the following ideas:
- The importance of fairness and equal access to help
- Community strength, inclusion, and connection
- The unique identity of Tasmania – its people, diversity, heritage, culture, or environment
- Justice as a human experience, not just a system
- Hope, resilience, and practical help
- The concept that legal support can change lives
Think about:
- What “community” looks like in Lutrawita (Tasmania)
